This news source may not be in the US but it does do stories on it. There are many good things that come out of it. For one you get an outsider's point of view of America so there are less emotion driven stories. It is also very good to understand what is going on somewhere else in the world.
In general Al Jazeera has minimum bias and is straight to the point. Like BBC they are not in the US so they do give you a different point of view. If you want a news source that gives you something to think about America Politics then this is where you should go.
The New York Times is the place to go for a variety of different topics. They do almost everything from technology to health to food and are generally well backed up. It is a great source for general but also in-depth topics.
NPR is a well researched and reliable news source. They have great reporters who are smart and unbiased. The reporters often find first person sources and give them time to hear their point of view.
They have done a constant job of keeping up to date reporting, extensive research and thought on each topic. Additionally, some of their reporting directly impacts Wall Street itself. Consequently, they need to verify and make sure their information is correct.
